About Tank's Art
Tank Standing Buffalo is a multidisciplinary artist whose career spans animation, sculpture, design, and storytelling, rooted in deeply personal and cultural narratives. A self-taught animator and filmmaker, he has created a series of acclaimed short films—including RKLSS (2020), SAVJ (2022), and MONSTR (2023)—that draw from his own life experiences, using animation as a powerful medium to explore trauma, resilience, and identity.
Beyond film, his creative practice extends into illustration, carving, tattooing, and object design, reflecting a hands-on, craft-driven approach to art. He currently serves as Art Director at Tiki Farm, where he brings a distinctive voice to contemporary tiki culture through innovative ceramic designs that blend tradition with modern storytelling and technology.
Across all mediums, Standing Buffalo’s work is unified by a commitment to personal expression and cultural continuity, positioning him as a dynamic and evolving force in both animation and design.
